ABOUT US.
01. WHERE WE COME FROM
The Gardening Club came out of The Sweetshop, a global production company with deep craft pedigree. We started as its AI and innovation arm, and we still work together closely on anything that needs live-action craft, AI enhanced Production alongside AI Innovation.
02. WHAT WE BELIEVE
We think there are ways to use these tools to make better work — and to build an industry where artists, talent, writers, directors and everyone else can grow their craft instead of being automated out of it. We think you can design compensation that lets the ecosystem thrive and still gives clients a good deal. Both can be true at once.
But someone has to actually do it that way. So we are.
03. OUR ETHICS IN PRACTICE
We think about what should be made, not just what can be. In practice: everyone in the ecosystem — artists, talent, writers, directors, performers, crew — gets their rights respected by default, not as concessions under pressure. Compensation is built into our pricing, not bolted on at contract time. We don't train on anyone's likeness, voice or performance without explicit consent. And we're transparent with clients about what an Engine's been trained on and how outputs are made.
